Inside the studio
A Morning in the Studio
The studio faces north across a courtyard. Work begins at seven, before the heat, and the first hour is spent doing nothing but looking at what was left the day before.
The artist
Murshida Arzu Alpana is a painter and printmaker working between Berlin and Dhaka. Trained in Dhaka, Santiniketan and Berlin, she has held more than thirty solo exhibitions across Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia.
